People Make the Space Even Greater in Greater Ontario

May 25, 2021

Greater Ontario, California certainly more than lives up to the “great” part of its name. Not only have Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga become the ultimate destinations for meeting planners who prioritize an incredible value, but the cities also offer access to myriad amenities for lodging, dining and exploration capped with glorious sunshine 300 days per year.

Scenic mountains, deserts and vineyards are never more than an hour away from our guests. There is the perfect mix of the great outdoors and metropolitan areas that are both historic and cosmopolitan.

That’s what is so great about Greater Ontario—it is not just the best of both worlds, it is the best of all worlds. The convenience alone is out of this universe. The GBAC Star-accredited Ontario Convention Center is located only 2 miles from Ontario International Airport, and there are more than 6,000 hotel rooms in its vicinity. Best of all, lodging, retail and dining options are far more affordable than in neighboring larger cities, without sacrificing quality.

Also, located less than 3 miles down the road lies the famed Toyota Arena, the perfect spot to indulge your VIPs with premium entertainment in an 11,000-seat setting that features spectacular views, 36 luxury suites, and private and intimate dining options, and hosts more than 200 shows annually. It is the ideal venue for business meetings, sports events and any organization that enjoys a fun night out on the town.

Nothing connects and energizes people more than face-to-face interactions: a pat on the back, the verbal exchange of ideas and the uplifting feeling of spending time with like-minded individuals sharing ideas for a common cause. Greater Ontario is the top destination for your next group travel and meeting. See why below.

There Is Something for Everyone

What’s not to love about Greater Ontario? That welcoming feeling with world-famous nearby attractions makes this an ideal home for family-friendly events. We have earned the moniker “Inland Empire” for a reason.

Whether you are hosting a church youth group or an adult-orientated faith-based event, it wouldn’t seem fair to the leave the kids behind. Greater Ontario is only a short drive from Disneyland—home of Mickey and Minnie Mouse—and Knott’s Berry Farm, where the Peanuts gang resides. Raging Waters in San Dimas (yes, from the “Bill and Ted” movies) is another hot spot to relax pre- or post-event.

Attendees and spouses will appreciate vast shopping options. Ontario Mills, the largest mall west of the Mississippi, draws 28 million visitors annually and hosts more than 200 stores, including some of the biggest names in fashion. Victoria Gardens is an open-air shopping mall in Rancho Cucamonga, 2 miles north of Ontario Mills. The European-stye Claremont Village Square also has plenty of options for shopping, dining and entertainment.

Many of those same amenities are what makes this destination such a hit for sports events too. Turning a tournament into a family getaway is easy for attendees here, while planners have plenty of all-star facilities to host the events. Toyota Arena is the biggest and most modern arena within the Inland Empire and hosts minor league hockey and the NBA’s G League, not to mention MMA, wrestling and other contact sports.

LoanMart Field’s superb facilities have a wide range of amenities including a class-A baseball stadium, two regulation soccer fields, three adult softball fields and a regulation Little League field. In addition, it offers an open-air plaza and covered pavilions with combined seating for 270. With ample parking space for production trailers or event parking, the Epicenter (as it is also known) has been home to a variety of events. LoanMart Field has more than 6,500 stadium seats and is home to a minor league affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

A Thoughtfully Planned Setting, Both Inside and Out

For most meetings, Ontario Convention Center will be the center of the action. The ultimate experience begins upon arrival to the center, which boasts a majestic and modern facade. The ultra-contemporary design was thoughtfully planned to provide a welcoming setting with a fresh, open and progressive vibe. The open, multilevel space offers a refreshing layout encompassing more than 225,000 square feet, and a 70,000-sq.-ft. column-free exhibition hall is accented throughout by floor-to-ceiling windows to draw in the gorgeous surrounding mountain vistas. An expansive offering of outdoor space is also available for meeting and event purposes.

But rest assured, beauty doesn’t override the VenueShield safety protocols implemented throughout the center. The convention center team is trained to provide the highest standard of cleanliness and safety for all guests and staff. Even though the coronavirus is past us, the need to maintain our guests’ health and safety will never subside.
