2021 ROUTE 66 CRUISIN’ REUNION® ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP
Petersen Automotive Museum to provide educational activities.

ONTARIO, California (Tuesday, June 15, 2021) 
– Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion will celebrate its eighth year running on September 17 & 18, 2021. New this year will be a display by Petersen Automotive Museum. “We are proud to announce a partnership with Petersen Automotive Museum and thrilled they can be part of our Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion!” Said Michael Krouse, President & CEO of Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Our goal has always been to provide a safe, family friendly, Classic Car show where visitors look forward to an annual trip to historic downtown Ontario. A relationship with Petersen Automotive Museum with their educational platform is a perfect fit for our event.” 

The Petersen Automotive Museum is the world’s premier automotive museum and a thought leader in the transportation industry. The museum houses more than 300 vehicles spanning 25 galleries in an expansive 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. The Petersen was originally founded in 1994 by magazine mogul Robert E. Petersen and underwent a complete renovation in 2015. Its mission is “to explore and present the history of the automobile and its impact on global life and culture using Los Angeles as the prime example.”

Participation at Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion will include the following youth activities:

• Road Trip Across America! – Using an oversized map of the US, little ones and learn about the glory days of a Route 66 road trip by recreating a short trip across the country and stopping at mini roadside attractions. Blends crafts and education as visitors learn about the towns and sights that line traditional Route 66.

• Youth Judging – Youth visitors will learn the basics of car judging and crown one of the cruising beauties with a Youth Choice Award.

• Classic Car Creation Station – Take inspiration from all the cool classic cars at the Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion and recreate some of your favorites with materials provided at the Peterson Automotive Museum booth.

• Hot Rod Pedal Car Photo Opportunity – Classic hot-rod style pedal cars provide very small children a photo-opportunity.
