(ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA, Sept. 4, 2014) – Route 66 Cruisin Reunion has added a supergroup of musicians to the Saturday, Sept. 21 concert lineup with THINK:X An exploration into the music of Pink Floyd.
Band members include Scott Page, known for his rhythm guitar and saxophone work with Pink Floyd, Toto and Supertramp. Band members include legendary guitarist Kenny Olson, Roberta Freeman of Pink Floyd and Guns N’ Roses, Will Champlin of One Direction, Derek Day, Tony Franklin, and Johnathan Mover. THINK:X replaces Orianthi, who had scheduling issues.
Saturday headliner Ambrosia, will close out the Saturday concerts with their signature Yacht Rock sounds and 70s hits like “You’re the Only Woman,” “That’s How Much,” “I Keep Holdin’ On” and “Biggest Part of Me.”
Grand Funk Railroad headlines Friday night’s rock concert that includes national touring blues guitarist Harlis Sweetwater, and Dave Muzik Man. Friday and Saturday nights also feature a musically choreographed drone show that pays tribute to the historic Route 66 and America’s love for the automobile.
Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion features a weekend full of classic vehicles cruising historical Euclid Avenue. 22-squre blocks of teenage “first car” memories, 900 vehicles, and thousands of car fans attend the annual September event. This is a family “car” experience, with Mom, Dad, Gramps, and friends taking turns to cruise.
The event includes two nights of evening concerts, drone shows, and cruising. Car owners of 1988 and older vehicles can still register for the event on Friday, Sept. 20, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ontario Conference Center, 1947 E Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA 91764.
