New policies and procedures are now in place in addition to our Code of Conduct – please read and be prepared to comply.  Per the State of California Department of Public Health and San Bernardino County, for Mega Events with large crowds greater than 5,000 attendees, the following is required:

  • Verification of fully vaccinated status OR a negative COVID test result within the last 72 hours before the event OR a self-attestation form will need to be completed.
  • Verification can take the form of written or verbal self-attestation.

We are excited to welcome guests back to Ontario Convention Center. The well-being of our guests, staff, and vendors continues to be our top priority, and as we return to events, heightened sanitation, health, and safety protocols are in effect. These policies are aligned with state and local public health orders, ordinances and guidance. As our knowledge and understanding of the COVID-19 virus continues to evolve, our policies and plans will be updated as appropriate.

MANDATORY FACE MASKS – Face coverings are required to be worn by all guests (ages 2 and up) and staff members at all times, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine, while indoors at Ontario Convention Center. Guests must bring their own face coverings.  Face coverings must conform to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance. For example, face coverings must be made with at least two layers of breathable material, fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin, fit snugly against the side of the face, and be secured with ties or ear loops to allow the guest to remain hands-free. Should you forget a face covering one will be made available to you. Any guest unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition must complete a self-attestation form.

For the safety of guests, staff, and vendors, guests that refuse to comply with face covering policy will be denied entry into Ontario Convention Center or escorted out of the building without refund.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE – In compliance with State Guidelines, food and beverage offerings may be limited or require “cashless” payment, credit card only.  No outside food and beverage items are permitted.

CONTACTLESS ENVIRONMENT – when possible event tickets will be digital and available on guests’ mobile devices.

PRACTICE PHYSICAL DISTANCING – For the safety of all in attendance, physical distance is recommended. We ask all guests to maintain distance from those outside of their party during their time at Ontario Convention Center. Gatherings of more than eight people are prohibited in the hallways and will be strictly monitored by event staff.  Please be respectful of other guests and their space.

WASH/SANITIZE HANDS OFTEN – The frequent washing and sanitization of your hands can help to keep you healthy and reduce the spread of germs. Several hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the facility.

GBAC STAR™ ACCREDITATION – Ontario Convention Center has received the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, Ontario Convention Center has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention in its facility.

ENHANCED CLEANING & SANITIZATION – All high-touch surfaces and heavily trafficked areas within Ontario Convention Center will be cleaned and disinfected at an increased frequency throughout events.  After each event, all spaces and seating areas will go through an additional rigorous disinfection process.

COVID-19 WARNING – The health and safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. We have taken enhanced health and safety measures to protect you. However, an inherent risk of exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19 exists in any public place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that may lead to severe illness and death. We cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. You must follow all venue policies, including health and safety policies, and posted instructions while in the center and on center grounds. Do not enter Ontario Convention Center if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or are subject to a mandatory quarantine pursuant to local, state or federal health authorities.

By entering Ontario Convention Center and its grounds, you voluntarily assume all risks of exposure to COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, and voluntarily waive all such related claims and potential claims against SMG Worldwide, ASM Global, the City of Ontario, and their respective members, affiliates, officers, employees, attorneys, successors and assigns and all persons acting by, though, under or in concert with them.
